The ballroom world has had 60+ years of poetic fluff.
We're here to show you the proof and math so that you know what and why you do something.
If you are a rush try the contents page otherwise read on. Please read on :)
The models we present are not the final word — they are a starting point. If you can demonstrate that any part of the math or physics is incorrect, that’s fantastic, because it means we can refine the model and move closer to truth. Ballroom dancing deserves rigor, and constructive critique only strengthens the foundation. What these models are not is a matter of taste or tradition: they stand or fall on physics, not on opinion. If you disagree we'd love to see your evidence.
For too long, dancers have been handed tradition wrapped in jargon. Words like “technique,” “feel” and “style” have been used as gatekeeping mechanisms. But where is the proof? Where’s the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM)?
You’ve paid thousands. Spent years trying to "feel the lead." Been told “you’ll get it eventually.”
Or (an industry cash cow) "Just practice some more"
Now it's time for something better.
